Alliance to Save Energy

Alliance to Save Energy LogoThe Alliance to Save Energy was established in 1977 as a non-profit coalition of prominent business, government, environmental, and consumer leaders who promote the efficient and clean use of energy worldwide to benefit consumers, the environment and economic growth. The Alliance supports energy efficiency as a cost-effective energy resource under existing market conditions and advocates energy-efficiency policies that minimize costs to all sectors of society, including industry, and that lessen greenhouse gas emissions and their impact on the global climate. We demonstrate the cost-effectiveness of energy efficiency under market conditions, while striving to improve those conditions by encouraging investment in the most cost-effective energy resources.

The Alliance is based in Washington, D.C. with over 50 staff in the U.S. and about 20 staff and full-time consultants around the world, bringing a wealth of educational and technical experience to all aspects of energy efficiency. The Alliance has been working internationally for more than a decade in over 30 developing and transition countries in Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean, Africa, the Commonwealth of Independent States, and Central and Eastern Europe. We have implemented Watergy in over 40 cities around the world.
